Lakeside 2018 Property Review

There were fewer sales for 2018 in the Lakeside area compared to 2017;
56 for 2018 compared to 62 in 2017, but the good news is that bucking the trend of many Cape Town suburbs residential property prices actually increased by 7.76% proving that there was indeed growth in the value of property in Lakeside in 2018, the highest price for a property was  in Klein Welgemeend Lincoln Rd at R6 300 000. 

Average price for 2017 was R2 286 218 and R2 483 683 for 2018. Property prices in Lakeside have maintained steady growth over the last few years and the average days listing is 79 days with a difference of approximately 10-12% between asking and selling price.

Due to the area’s many in demand attributes, residential properties in Lakeside are in high demand across all levels.  Entry-level homes and cottages start from around R1.5million, average 3 bedroomed homes around R2.5- R3 million and ranging up to around R5 million for a spacious family home in Upper Lakeside.
