property powerProperty Power is giving away 10 copies of the 11th edition of ‘Property Power in South Africa’. To be entered into this draw subscribe to our Lakeside blog. Winners will be announced on the Friday 26 February 2016 on our blog.

Buying or selling a home as well as moving, can be one of the most stressful experiences in your life, even more so if you are not properly informed, and it is probably one of the most important investments you will make. You need to understand your rights and obligations and learn to take control of the process.

Property and its wealth creating power is not an exact science, but a very complex industry, in which most of us share an interest. Property Power is designed to empower home buyers, home sellers, first-time property investors and owner-builders/renovators with knowledge regarding important aspects of purchasing and selling immovable residential property.

Too many people run into financial difficulty and have to live with disappointments after making hasty decisions and not taking control of their property transactions. Property Power is a magazine (including an interactive PC CD-Rom) in which we cover the most important facts with regard to property transactions as comprehensively as possible, while keeping it simple, user-friendly and easy to read.

If you missed out on the previous editions, don’t despair. Each year, after the Minister of Finance announces the new Budget, we update Property Power and release a new edition. Everything discussed in the previous edition is simply revised and modified to the latest developments, figures and legislation in the market and newly researched material is added.

Updated Information
Property Power is updated and published regularly. You can visit our website at any time to make sure that you have the latest edition and that you are not missing out on any new information, like amendments to certain acts, or changes in the interest rate, budget speech, and so on. We endeavor to update Property Power at least once a year, however sometimes an edition may be relevant for two years.

Lakeside
Aerial View of Lakeside

Lakeside is situated between the suburbs of West Lake and Muizenberg with fantastic mountain views of the Hottentots Holland mountains with the Steenberg Stone Mountain the backdrop and the Zandvlei wetlands in the front.

Lakeside is a highly sought after area which caters to both the upper, lower and middle level income earners. It’s an area that people don’t seem to move from, raising their families and only selling once the children leave the house. It’s an area where everyone lives together peacefully with lots of parks for the children and dogs within the neighbourhoods. Lakeside as an area offers excellent value for money with houses set in a quiet, friendly neighbourhood that is in close proximity to everything.
This area is also popular to running, cycling and golf at the Westlake and Steenberg Golf Courses. It is abundant with restaurants, coffee shops, strip malls as well as service stations and medical doctors.

The area of Lakeside offers excellent value for money in terms of residential property and is the perfect area to raise your children in a relaxed and friendly environment.

A Special Valentines Day at Sostanza

Sostanza Bakery and Coffee Shop was2833 born in 2006 in the Old Bakery Building in Lakeside. The locals excitedly came and informed us of days gone by, when one could smell the fresh bread being baked in the early morning.

Although there have been two owners since it started, Sostanza has always lived up to its name. So what does the name mean – direct translation means nourishing, substantial, and abundant. In Italy, food is a celebration of life.

IMG_0504 (1)A beautiful experience of food, of family, friends and warm companionship, laughter and fun. Winnie Sass from Chas Everitt Tokai has been one of our valued regular customers for many years. We have enjoyed many chats with her, ranging from houses for sale to motor bikes and rallies. This year Winnie made our Valentines day so special by sponsoring 50 red and white helium balloons, with her card attached, for our customers to take. What a wonderful atmosphere was added to our décor. Thank you so much Winnie. We are trusting for a double blessing of sales for each balloon.

Lovingly the Management and Staff of Sostanza.
